I relate to this song because it's kind of an overview of what goes on in my head all the time. the first lines "oh naive little me, asking what things you have seen", makes me think of how I'm always asking questions and trying to learn about things I'm too afraid to experience myself. but my absolute favorite lines are "the weak need to be lead, and the tender I'll carry to their bed." I've always cared so much about people and want to help them anyway I can. I feel like she has the same empathy as me. This song traces the journey I'm on right now. I'm trying to learn about the world, connect to the world, and find my place in it all at the same time. the lines "its hard to accept yourself as someone you don't desire" demonstrates what everyone goes through, and what I'm going through right now, when you are trying to come to terms with who you are. lastly, "let it always be known that i was who i am" makes me feel like she's finally accepted herself, and she's proclaiming it proudly, letting the world know that she always was and always will be this person. this song is where i am right now in my life.
